Support & Outreach Workers - Northampton

As a full time Support and Outreach worker you will be working 37.5 hours per week and it will be a mixture of morning and afternoon shifts (5 days out of 7). You will be working in one of our supported living sites or/and in one or more client's home. The main duties will include supporting people with their daily needs and everyday household tasks, encouraging and assisting them to take part in activities, accompanying and assisting them with appointments and shopping. MCS provides support for young adults with Learning disabilities and/or mental health illnesses. Our main focus is to provide the highest level of support in order to enable independence and empower clients to control their own lives. To achieve this, we provide extensive care, support and actively promote independence and inclusion in the community. The successful candidate will ideally have experience working with adults with learning disabilities and mental health issues. You will be able to use your initiative, adapt to changing situations and demonstrate your excellent verbal communication skills. An NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
